How does the IV treatment process work?

The treatment process is meant to be quick and easy. Just go to our mobile app or website, identify your location, select the desired treatment and book an appointment. At booking, there will be a quick intake form to collect pertinent medical information and if necessary a physician consultation. Once complete, expect a member of our team to arrive at the designated hour and provide your services.

What information do I need to provide at time of booking?

You will be asked to complete a basic health questionnaire. This is designed to assess your ability to receive IV fluid therapy and ensure your safety throughout the treatment process. All information will be strictly confidential.

When will consultation with a physician take place?

You can always request to consult with a physician prior to receiving IV therapy. In instances where there are safety concerns due to designated medical conditions, a consultation will automatically be triggered before such treatment can be administered.

What locations are your services currently available?

We are currently servicing the Dallas-Fort Worth area but looking to expand to other cities in the near future. If you would like us to branch out into your area, please inform us here.

If I live outside of the provider zone, can I still receive treatment?

Possibly, depending on how far out of our treatment zone you are located and if there is a provider within range. Contact our service team at 469-863-3419 if you are located outside of that zone and we will do our best to service you.

How often can I get an IV treatment?

You should tailor your IV treatments to your body’s needs. If you are a healthy person, there is no problem with getting several treatments per week.

Once booking is complete, how long does it take for a provider to come to me?

For appointments scheduled in advance, expect your provider to arrive at the designated time. For last minute and “on demand” services, we will do our best to reach you within two hours (additional charge will apply).

Is IV therapy painful?

There will be a small pinch associated with IV insertion, however it is expected to be mild and short in duration.

Are there any side effects during the IV process?

No major side effects are typically experienced during or after an IV treatment. Mild bruising and bleeding may occur. A cold or chilled sensation is common while fluids are being administered.

Do IV infusions really work for hangovers, and if so, how quickly will I feel better?

Results will depend on the severity of your symptoms. Nausea generally improves within the first hour after treatment. Other common symptoms like headache, fatigue and malaise are then next to subside.

How long does a standard treatment take to finish?

Once the IV therapy has started infusing, treatments generally take between 30-45 minutes to complete.

I’ve been told I have difficult veins to treat, what are my options?

Dehydration and vein size can pose a challenge when it comes to visibility and access. Our expert staff is specially trained in methods to overcome this challenge. Plus we offer a variety of gauge sizes.

Does my insurance cover IV treatments?

Unfortunately, we do not accept private insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. With that said, our treatments are generally far less expensive than most co-pays of an urgent care facility or emergency room. In addition, many health plans and health savings accounts may reimburse for services upon request. We are able to provide you with a form to submit to your health plan if you wish. Do you perform background checks on all of your nurses?

Yes, all of our providers are screened through a rigorous background check prior to hire.

Can I request to have the same nurse every time?

Absolutely! When selecting your appointment you will be prompted to select from our provider list. If there is someone you have used, liked, and wish to use again, you will be able to request them.

Do you service private parties or offer reduced rates for large groups?

Yes, we do provide group discounts, however this will vary based upon your group size and desired therapies. If you are interested in hiring us for a large event or special occasion, please e-mail at info@nuuvohealth.com with details of the event and party size. A member of our customer service team will reach out quickly and work to accommodate your request.

If I have a group and I’m not within the provider zone can I still get treated?

Absolutely, in fact if you are outside of provider zone, and have a group of 5 or more, we waive any additional travel fees.
